The easiest, cheesiest appetizer everyone loves
My sister and I make sure to have some kind of brie appetizer at every family holiday — and this year’s was a stunner; not to mention, only 5 ingredients. I found inspiration on Pinterest and adapted a bunch of recipes into the one below. Admittedly, I am not a measuring kind-of-girl but here’s my estimated measurements for those who panic at the thought of winging it. Do not fret! I promise you, you can’t mess this one up!

Ingredients & Instructions
One brie wheel
One small big of mission figs, pitted
Honey
Fig jam
Shelled, unsalted pistachios
Combine 1/3 cup of fig jam, 2 tablespoons of honey and 1/4 cup smashed pistachios (place pistachios in a plastic bag and smash with a rolling pin or a mallet) in a small bowl. Add about 10 chopped mission figs (remove the little stem first) and give it all a mix. You want your ingredients to be coated with the honey and jam, so add more if it seems too dry.
Place your brie wheel in a pie pan; drizzle some honey and a dollop of fig jam on top and spread it around (don’t forget the sides). Put your nut mixture on top of the brie and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes until soft, but the brie still holds its shape. Serve with fancy crackers and apple slices. Take a bow, because you are a QUEEN.
P.S. You can easily alter this recipe to fit your taste! Swap out the fig jam and figs for another fruit. Try apricot jam and dried apricots, or skip the dried fruit altogether. Mix in some walnuts. Use hot honey. Have some fun, it ain’t that serious, babe.
